Cortadex 50 ml – (new 2024)

Cortadex 0.1% is a potent glucocorticoid with minimal mineralocorticoid effects, resulting in significantly reduced side effects. Its anti-inflammatory potency is 6 times greater than prednisolone and 5 times greater than triamcinolone, combined with an exceptionally long biological half-life. These properties make it ideal for the treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions.

Composition

Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate 1 mg/ml

Administration and Dosage

Horses: 4 to 12.5 ml

Camels: 3 to 8 ml

Dogs: 0.2 to 1 ml

These doses may be repeated every 24 or 48 hours and can be adjusted by the attending veterinarian based on the specific clinical use of the product.

Treatment should not continue for more than 5 consecutive days. After the therapeutic effect has been achieved and if maintenance therapy is needed, it should be performed at reduced doses as determined by the attending veterinarian.

Routes of Administration: Intramuscular, intravenous, intra-articular, or local infiltration.

Overdosage:

In case of overdose or intoxication, there is no specific antidote. If this occurs, supportive and symptomatic treatment should be applied.
