Bacterin for the prevention of leptospirosis in cattle and pigs. The application of this bacterin prevents reproductive problems caused by L. hardjo bovis, which is the serovar most frequently associated with infertility, abortions and embryonic death. It induces a robust and highly specific immune response that prevents the most common type of leptospirosis in Mexico. As it is inactivated, it allows the vaccination of all the animals in the herd, starting at three months of age, including pregnant and lactating females; when applied before pregnancy, it provides placental and fetal protection.

In high-risk areas, semi-annual revaccination is recommended.
