Ketoprofen 100 mg; excipient, with benzyl alcohol (10 mg), q.s.p.
Pharmacological properties:
Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug endowed with powerful activity
anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. Act
inhibiting cyclooxygenase, interfering with the production of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. Too
It acts on lipoxygenase, canceling the formation of leukotrienes.
Interactions and incompatibilities:
Do not mix with other substances in the same syringe. Do not associate with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or with diuretics or anticoagulants.
Indications and target species:
Cattle: Inflammation, analgesia, respiratory disorders, mammary edema, mastitis, lameness,
arthritis and colic.
• Anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic treatment, especially in cases of respiratory conditions, breast edema, mastitis and musculoskeletal conditions (lameness, arthritis, injuries
traumatic and helps postpartum recovery).
Pigs: Inflammations, hyperthermia, respiratory diseases, lameness, arthritis and Mastitis syndrome,
Metritis, Agalactia (MMA).
• Anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic treatment, especially in cases of respiratory conditions in fattening pigs, joint and musculoskeletal conditions, as well as symptomatic treatment of sow MMA syndrome.
Sport and race horses: Lameness, arthritis, navicular disease, tendonitis, bursitis, laminitis, postsurgical inflammation and colic.
• Anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment of the steoarticular and musculoskeletal systems (lameness, arthritis, navicular disease, tendinitis, bursitis, laminitis and post-surgical inflammation).
Symptomatic analgesic treatment of colic.
Contraindications:
• Animals with severe renal insufficiency, as well as animals that have already developed a
hypersensitivity to ketoprofen.
• Pregnant mares, as well as foals less than 15 days old.
Side effects:
They have not been described.
Route of administration:
Intravenous or intramuscular.
Posology:
Cattle: 0.3 ml / 10 kg bw / day, for 1 to 3 consecutive days, intravenously or intramuscularly.
Pigs: 0.3 ml / 10 kg b.w./day, from 1 to 3 consecutive days, by intramuscular route.
Sport and race horses: Intravenously:
• Inflammation and pain in the osteoarticular and musculoskeletal systems: 0.22 ml / 10 kg b.w./day (2.2
mg of ketoprofen / kg b.w), for 3 to 5 consecutive days.
• Colic: 0.22 ml / 10 kg b.w. (2.2 mg of ketoprofen / kg b.w.).
A single injection is usually sufficient. Any additional injections should be
administered after a new clinical examination of the animal.

Store below 25 ° C, protected from light.
